AAF Greenville Member Inducted into Legion of Excellence

GREENVILLE, S.C. (August 26, 2014) — The American Advertising Federation District 3 (AAF D3) leadership committee recently selected Peyton Lewis as the newest member of the Legion of Excellence.

The Legion of Excellence is comprised of club members who have demonstrated continual dedication to and strong leadership for AAF D3. Lewis is a member of AAF Greenville, which she has been involved with since 1997, and is only the ninth person to earn this distinction since its inception in 1985.

Previously, Lewis served on her local board of directors as the AAF Greenville American Advertising Awards chair, public service chair, treasurer, vice president of programs and vice president of membership before serving two separate terms as president. Lewis then went on to serve as the AAF South Carolina state governor, AAF D3 treasurer, AAF D3 lieutenant governor and AAF D3 governor. Lewis has also been the Eastern Region treasurer, vice chair and chairman. “She really has done it all, with passion and dedication, too,” noted Allan Jenkins, Lewis’ friend and mentor.

Lewis is a Greenville native and graduate of Furman University. She began her advertising career at The Leslie Agency and has since worked for The Cliffs Communities and The Bounce Agency. Currently, Lewis is a vice president, account director at Erwin Penland.

AAF District 3 is a regional market affiliate of the American Advertising Federation, the nation’s oldest national advertising trade association with more than 40,000 members. AAF District 3 represents clubs in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia and is dedicated to serving members by protecting and advancing advertising interests, including the freedom to truthfully advertise legal products.
